Is this really free?

Yes it is, all of it. In order to keep it free we use some third party products where people get free resources. For example in case of sending emails we use SendGrid.

How does this work?

1.
Create an account
2.
Create your own calendar
3.
Populate your calendar with events
4.
Share your events or the calendar itself
5.
Handle your participants or income/outcome of your event

How can I participate on the events?

0.
Create an account
1.
Apply for an event

How to synchronize events from Google calendar?

In case you want to use your existing Google calendar you can set your calendars identifier at the settings page. It allows people to import the events to their calendars. A calendar id looks like this: something@group.google.com or something@gmail.com, you can find that in the settings, details of your calendar. Before you start importing your calendar you have to make your calendar public on Google calendar settings page. After you saved the settings a new menu item will appear in the menu list named Import Google calendar. The import will not delete events created in admin, only events created by Google calendar import in the future without stored payments will be deleted. You can use the following tags in the description of your event before import:
  • [name_of_category]
  • [admin_only]
  • [exclude_from_bookkeeping]
.

How to send emails to participants?

First, you have to configure the application to be able to do so. This means creating a sendgrid.com account, creating an api key in the Settings, Api keys menu. Enable the full access for sending emails in the api key details. After this, copy the api key to the Calendar settings part where it is stated Sendgrid. If you managed to do so the forms for sending emails will be enabled in the event page and the user page.

What is the difference between the season ticket types?

Case the user was participated on the events where it is marked as X
Event E1 (2016.01.03.) Event E2 (2016.01.10.) Event E3 (2016.01.17.) Event E4 (2016.01.24.)
Case C1 (participating on all of the events) X X X X
Case C2 (not attending on one event) X X X
Case C3 (participating on all events, but the fourth event is postponed to 2016.02.05.) X X X -

Assume we configured the following types of season tickets:
Season ticket S1: we define this for a one month of a period
Season ticket S2: we define this for 4 number of events
Season ticket S3: we define this for 4 number of events and turning on the absence decrease as well

The following is going to happen:

C1 and buying S1: all the events are covered
C2 and buying S1: all the events are covered
C3 and buying S1: all the events are covered and new ticket must be bought if the replacement of the event is in the next month

C1 and buying S2: all the events are covered
C2 and buying S2: all the events are covered and 1 further event can be covered by this ticket
C3 and buying S2: all the events are covered and 1 further event can be covered by this ticket (for example the replacement event)

C1 abd buying S3: all the events are covered
C2 abd buying S3: all the events are covered
C3 abd buying S3: all the events are covered and 1 further event can be covered by this ticket (for example the replacement event)

Here are some important differences to note:
- if a participant miss an event (C2) he won't 'loose the payment of that event' in case of S2, but he will loose in case of S3
- if an event is postponed to an other month the participant will 'loose the payment of the that event' in case of S1, but not in case S2 and S3
